Engsugar carry out a study to expand the Sonora Mill
The Sonora Mill, located in the City of Sonora, Mato Grosso do Sul will increase the size of its Industrial Park, with a view to expanding its processing capacity, currently at 1,000,000 tonnes of cane per harvest to 1,800,000 tonnes in 2009. To guide them through this process, Sonora has hired EngSugar Engenharia e Comércio to carry out the studies and develop the Basic Industrial Planning Engineering Project.
The main object is to provide assistance in defining the investments to be made over the next few years, so that the expansion is conducted in the most harmonious, systematic way possible, avoiding rework and financial waste.
According to Carlos Fernandes, the EngSugar engineer responsible for Outsourcing at the Sonora Mill, “This Project will include all the stages in the expansion process, facilitating the preparation of annual investment plans and defining the actions to be taken, with a view to meeting the target of grinding 1,800,000 tonnes of sugar cane,” during the 2009-2010 harvest.
