PLANNING THE INSTALLATION OF A SUGAR, ETHANOL AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY PRODUCING UNIT
1st Stage – Preparing the Fundamental Project:
After the dimensions of the Producing Unit have been determined, EngSugar will compile all the information that will harmoniously guide the remaining steps, thus avoiding any waste of time and financial losses. The following items will be defined and formatted during this stage:
Production Mix – Studies to define the quantity of sugar cane to be ground for the production of sugar and ethanol, with their respective production volumes; |
Mass Balances – Documents which will provide the parameters for defining the dimensions of the equipment and systems to be installed in the productive process; |
Engineering Flowcharts – These documents will show all the pieces of equipment involved in the process with their connections duly tagged; |
Equipment Specifications – All the pieces of equipment that are to be acquired from third parties will be specified for purchase, along with all the pieces of equipment that are to be manufactured on the site; |
Overall Master Plan – Floor plan that will show all the auxiliary buildings, processing and utilities areas, and the vehicle and pedestrian circulation logistics; |
Sectoral Master Plans – Sectoral floor plans showing the auxiliary buildings, processing and utilities areas, and the vehicle and pedestrian circulation logistics; |
Installation Costs – An Investment Report containing a description of the different installation stages, their respective production capacities, the equipment and systems to be installed and the investments to be made. |
2nd Stage – Preparing the Executive Project:
Execution Timetable – This document will indicate all the project execution stages, from the land preparation stage to the start-up, with confirmation of the planned capacity and the planned flexibility; |
Updating the Technical Specifications of Equipment Acquired from Third Parties – During this stage, EngSugar reanalyzes all the quotes for the equipment that is to be acquired from third parties, asking suppliers to provide new quotes and technically equalizing the proposals received whenever necessary; |
Detailing the Equipment for Manufacture – EngSugar will prepare detailed drawings of the equipment to be manufactured by third parties at the site of the project or in specialist workshops, together with all the construction information and the respective lists of materials; |
Buildings and Metallic Structure – EngSugar will prepare detailed drawings of the buildings and metallic structures that are a part of the installations for ethanol production, which are to be manufactured by third parties at the site of the project or in specialist workshops, together with all the construction information and the respective lists of materials; |
Mechanical Installations and Pipeline Networks – EngSugar will prepare the calculations of the dimensions and detailed drawings with all the information necessary for installing and connecting the equipment that makes up the productive system for the manufacture of sugar, ethanol and electrical energy; |
Civil Engineering Project – EngSugar will prepare detailed drawings with all the information necessary for the civil engineering work; |
Electrical Engineering Project – EngSugar will prepare detailed drawings with all the information necessary for the electrical installations; |
Industrial Automation Project – EngSugar will prepare the engineering services and detail the automation project, which involves the control networks for the equipment and productive systems used in the manufacture of sugar, ethanol and electrical energy. |
3rd Stage – Outsourcing the Installation:
During this stage, EngSugar will provide Technical personnel to coordinate the installation of the New Industrial Unit, managing all the activities from defining the installation timetable, based on priorities, to activities related to the commissioning of the equipment and facilities. |
4th Stage – Technical and Human Development Program – THD:
EngSugar can apply the THD, whose prime objective is to give Trainees the opportunity to develop new skills, thus contributing to an improvement in their personal lives and their professional performance – this is a matter of fundamental importance for any human being and all Enterprising Companies. |
By formatting the technical modules to include state-of-the-art knowledge, we have associated behavioral modules to the application. These contribute to integration, by strengthening aspects of working as a TEAM, which is an important factor for the success of the new Industrial Unit. This is a fundamental part of the process of preparing the new Team that will be in charge of the productive process start-up, and will also help integrate the new working group. |
5th Stage – EngSugar Start-up:
During this stage, EngSugar will provide Technical personnel to oversee the Industrial Unit start-up process. Together with the operatives, who have been duly trained and qualified, and the suppliers of the main equipment and services, these Technicians will start up operations, by getting all the equipment and the productive process underway. |
6th Stage – Industrial Park Management Outsourcing Service:
At this stage, EngSugar will provide its Industrial Park Management Outsourcing Service. The prime objective of this service is to carry out the management of all the sectors involved in the sugar cane transformation and industrialization process, and its derived products, from the time the sugar cane arrives (in natura), to the storage procedures for the finished goods (sugar, ethanol and their correlated products). Some of the activities developed are listed below. |
Administration of the following sectors: sugar cane receiving, sourced from the company’s own production and/or acquired from third parties (suppliers); sugar cane washing; sugar cane preparation (refining); grinding; juice purification; sugar manufacture; ethanol manufacture; sugar storage, ethanol storage in tanks; the industrial laboratory and all the departments related to industrial utilities (water, steam, effluent, industrial waste and the power generating plant for on-site use and for sale to third parties); |
Help in the preparation of the HR organization chart defining the technical and functional characteristics of the members of the technical, auxiliary and management team; |
Managing the team defined in the HR organization chart, in a way that complies with and observes the rules laid down in the Consolidated Labor Laws (CLL), and also meets the operating conditions of the industry as efficiently as possible, with the right to hire, fire, suspend or apply any other disciplinary methods against employees, whenever necessary; |
Preparation of the Annual Harvest Plans, which will be drawn up by common agreement between ENGSUGAR and the CONTRACTOR, as well as the Inter-harvest Plan, which will define all the operationalization and maintenance requirement and the re-equipping of the Industrial Park. |
